HOLLSOPPLE — An oversized $250,000 valve lowered into place at the Quemahoning Dam on Thursday is expected to generate millions in tourist dollars as the years pass. Workers from Chivers Construction Inc. of Erie used a Automatic Control Valves crane to carry the 6-foot-long, 10,000-pound valve down a 100-yard tunnel into the bowels of the dam.
